Broad Spectrum Soil Treatment
KILLS AND
CONTROLS INSECTS, PATHOGENS, NEMATODES, FUNGUS
AND WEEDS
For Fruits, Vegetables, Nuts, Berries, Grains,
Flowers, Shrubbery, Soil ARMOREX
is a formula, that uses only extracts of chili
and essential oil of mustard to create a unique,
dual action, pesticide alternative which kills
on contact and maintains a repellent action
against many insects, nematodes, fungi, weeds
and weed seeds. ARMOREX is
exempt from a residue tolerance. |

PESTS CONTROLLED
NEMATODES, INCLUDING: Root-knot spp. Tylenchus,
Pratylenchus, Xiphinema, Criconemoides, and
Paratylenchus. SOIL BORNE FUNGI,
INCLUDING: Pythium, Rhizoctonia, Phytophtora,
Pyrenochaeta, Sclerotinia, Armillaria, and
the clubroot organism, Plasmodiophora.
WEEDS AND WEED SEED: Seeds, roots,
stolons, and bulbs of broadleaf weeds and
grasses including quackgrass, annual bluegrass,
broomrape, common lambsquarters, torpedograss
and bermudagrass. Not effective against mallow,
dodder, and some species of clover.

PRETREATMENT SOIL PREPARATION: Plow
or rip the soil to the depth to which effective
treatment is required. The soil should be
worked until free of clods or large lumps
and residue from previous crops should be
worked into the soil to allow for decomposition
prior to treating soil. To insure maximum
spray penetration, the soil should be at
5-15% moisture depending on soil type. However,
to improve sealing, the soil surface may
be moistened by means of a sprinkler application
of 1/4 1/2 inch (1- 2 cm) of water
prior to final preparation and application.
For best results, treat soil when the soil
temperature is above 60°F (15.7oC) . Do
not treat soil when soil temperature is
below 50°F (10oC).
NECESSARY EQUIPMENT: One plastic
tank to hold field ready formula (see mixing
guidelines below). One pump to pump at 60
psi or more.
For bed applications: When
spraying, fit nozzles so that nozzle end
is at least 10 inches (25 cm) above the
soil. Mechanically incorporate to target
root zone immediately behind spray. Seal
with a drag or roller and/or cover with
plastic. Bed application may also be through
a drip irrigation line installed under plastic.
Drench target root zone to just less than
the saturation point.
For broadcast applications:
Spray to soil surface for uniform coverage.
Immediately after spraying soil surface
incorporate to target root zone with mechanical
methods or by drenching in with irrigation
water. When drenching bring soil moisture
in target root zone to just less than the
saturation point. When mechanically incorporating
use a mechanical drag or roller to seal
soil surface immediately after incorporation.
Be sure that the mechanical incorporation
and sealing implement cover an area sufficiently
beyond the spray lines to effect a good
seal.
For overall application of ARMOREX, use
the above equipment and spray according
to the directions listed under Soil Treatment
Uses (see chart below).
METHOD OF APPLICATION PRECAUTION: This
is a preplant or replant treatment. A waiting
period of at least 3 days should be observed
between application and planting.
ARMOREX used without a tarp (plastic
cover) will not usually control most weed
seeds. However, some control may be observed
on deep-rooted perennials such as morning
glory (birdweed) and rhizomes and johnsongrass.
MIXING &
DOSAGE GUIDELINES:
| Step
One: ARMOREX is packaged and shipped
as a concentrate. It must be mixed
with water to produce a field ready
formula. The field ready formula for
all applications is 15% ARMOREX to
85% water. |
| Step Two: Follow
the dosage information below to
determine the dosage rate of the
field ready formula for your application. |

TREE SITE SOIL TREATMENT DIRECTIONS:
Preplant or replant treating soil of
citrus soil for control of Phytophtora
and citrus nematodes. Apply using above
equipment. Seal spray with a drag or cultipacker
following immediately behind disc harrow.
Apply ARMOREX at the rate of 1 pound per
100 square feet (48 gr. / m2). Immediately
cover with a 4 mil. tarp and expose to treated
soil for 72 hours. This treatment will control
disease to a depth of 2 feet (61 cm). Remove
cover and aerate 3 days before setting transplants
in treated area.
NON-TARP NEMATODE CONTROL: For control
of nematodes including Meloidogyne spp.,
Xiphinema spp., Criconemoides, Pratylenchus,
and Paratylenchus on deciduous
fruits, nuts, citrus, and vineyards.
